Chinatown in Japan?

Gate to Yokohama's Chinatown

This past Sat (our Pday) we went to Yokahama with two other couples to see Chinatown and the tallest building in Japan. Chinatown was filled with colorful lanterns, hoards of people, little shops, restaurants and a large Buddhist temple. The view from the 69th floor of the Landmark Building was spectacular! Although it was a bit overcast, it was amazing to see the seemingly endless rows of buildings, roads and waterways! We counted more than 35 ships anchored off the coast and many more in port. A very busy place this country of Japan.
After a great Chinese dinner we headed home and began our fast for our dear sister-in-law, Charlene, who is undergoing treatment for cancer. So this weekend we saw the sites and enjoyed an abundance of the Spirit...doesn't get much better than that!Detail of dragons on the temple roof

these photos remind us of Singapore mission. So much Buddhist culture there. We're so glad you are enjoying your mission.
